Cowgaceiros, by artist Weyne, is an homage to the Cangaceiros, social bandits in Brazil from the mid-1800s to the early 20th century. The cangaceiros performed acts of charity and social justice on behalf of poor residents in the Brazilian northeast. The Cowgaceiros cow features bandits in their traditional dress style of leather clothing, distinctive hats and colored ribbons.
